School's on

San has had a happy time in school for three days now. It doesn't feel new at all at this point of time. Feels like she's been going since a long time.

The only new things for her are the classwork and the homework. The first day she wondered why she needs to write 1-50 all over again when she's already done it in school. She anyway does the homework for two reasons: to make the teacher happy and to get a star on her homework.

The only thing she misses in school is the playtime. There's none of it. I wonder why!

It's the same old story with her lunch. It comes back half-eaten. Sigh!

Now that she's out in this big, big world, and given her very friendly nature, I feel the need to give her a dose of stranger-danger. How frequently do you tell your children about stranger danger?

  1. My nephews have been taught about stranger-danger at their school. They know the difference between good and bad touch. In fact, they know "too" much..... haha

  2. write 1-50....eerrggg...I would hate that sort of homework. That's the difference I guess, between a preschool in the US and in India. Are you all still in India? I assume yes? Sorry..haven't been catching up much. Trying to spend time away from Fb and blog for a time of rest. Take good care!

    1. yup, I too hate any kind of homework at this stage, but can't help! they stress upon writing a lot here, unlike in US. we are very much in India, and will be here for a couple of more months. :) hope you're enjoying your time away from the social networks. :)

  3. No play time?! Why?! Zini is generally suspicious of srangers (she is a bit too shakki :) )
So i haven't really given her gyan on stranger danger. But She knows about the private body parts and nobody is supposed to touch them and if somebody does then she has to report it to her ma'am in the school and mummy, papa at home.

    1. It's good that she at least has that much knowledge. San too knows about it, but she needs to know some more I guess! :) No playtime, yes. They do have activities and all, but no actual play.
